Are you ready? There were a hell of a lot of nominations for Worst Song Ever yesterday on Twitter and Facebook. Nominees had to receive more than one nomination or have a special bad-song dispensation from the Pope of Worst (me!) A few of these I don’t agree with – but most I do.
You can vote on any one of the songs below for the Worst Song Ever, and I’ll post the list of the winners (?) tomorrow. I suggest you do a YouTube search on some of the songs below. There are truly some Godawful numbers down there you may not have heard of or have forgotten.
If you want to promote one of the following songs as the Worst Ever, post a link to a song or video in the comments below so other people will know about it. But, unfortunately, we are not accepting any new nominees.

In creating our web series, PG PORN, we wanted to cast the porn stars who would give us the most bang for our buck. We weren’t necessarily looking for the most famous porn stars, or even the stars who sold the most DVD units — although we certainly wanted to take those things into account. What we desired were stars who actually had the most online power, who would drive the most web traffic to their PG PORN episodes.

Here of the results of today’s poll, where people on Twitter, Facebook, and MySpace voted for what they thought the Best Remake of All-Time was. "Best" was defined as "the greatest leap forward in quality from the film it’s remaking." What wasn’t defined was what a remake was. For our purposes, "remake" includes films that are based solely on preceding films (i.e. THE DEPARTED, which was based on the Hong Kong movie INFERNAL AFFAIRS) and films that are based on content that was previously turned into a film (both THE THING and THE THING FROM ANOTHER WORLD were both based on the short story, Who Goes There?).
Also, I didn’t allow votes for my own film, DAWN OF THE DEAD. Because most of the people who were answering were connected to me through social networking platforms, the film would have placed unfairly high.

This morning I posted a Question of the Day on Twitter: What is the worst movie sequel of all time? I definted worst as having the largest decline in quality from the preceding film – therefore awful sequels to awful original films don’t count (unless they’re incredibly worse than the preceding film). I also said that the sequel isn’t just the second in the series – it is any movie that precedes another. And that, I said, included prequels.
