12 p.m. - Wrap party brunch for everyone.
4 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. - I'll be doing a panel called ALONE IN THE DARK about writing horror. Uh, did anyone get Uwe's permission to use this title? Isn't it a bad omen to use a Uwe Boll title as a panel name?... anyway, I'm doing the panel with Mary Harron again, Dan Madigan, who wrote SEE NO EVIL, April Smith, who wrote NIGHTMARES & DREAMSCAPES, AND the great Larry Cohen of IT'S ALIVE, Q, THE STUFF, and GOD TOLD ME TO fame! All jokes about Uwe aside, this should be an awesome panel, and, as usual, I probably won't agree with anyone else on it.
At 6:30 p.m. there's a VIP party. Since I don't know how many actual VIP's will be at this conference, it may be fairly easy to get into. Who knows. I probably shouldn't even be putting it in here.
2-5 p.m. Roundtable Workshops - this should be very hands-on, and will be a lot of fun. I'll be joined by Les Bohem, the writer of TWENTY BUCKS, DANTE'S PEAK, and more, and a couple others.
I may also be around that night for the NIGHTMARES & DREAMSCAPES premiere.
I'll be doing a few panels, including the roundtable workshops on Friday, and will just be hanging around in general for the whole weekend. Although it costs money, the weekend is a non-profit deal that exists to help newer screenwriters learn about the craft and the business. I imagine it will be very, very beneficial to any of you who are serious about screenwriting.
It takes place at the Hilton Nashville Downtown. For info, and for cheaper, early registration, go here.

THE MANHATTAN MONOLOGUE SLAM AT IVAR
Eight actors perform character based theatrical monologues vying for the MMSlam National Title. It's not poetry, not spoken word, not performance art, not improv, not storytelling, not stand-up comedyits acting for actors.
Championship Set Actors: LA MMSLAM champ Pennel Bird with Taji Coleman, Ann Randolph, Bethany Pagliolo, Sarah Scott, Anthony Tedesco, Jeff Parise and 30 Second Slam Winner Joe Smith
Several actors participating in the previous MMSlams have been cast on feature films and TV, landed agents and booked various film and television auditions.
"The Manhattan Monologue Slam is awesome. Its a slam-dunk, and I love it," said actor Andy Dick.
Set One: The Championship Set features ten pre-booked actors performing one three-minute monologue. What's at stake? The tag of "The Manhattan Monologue Slam Champion," a sit-down with any one of that evenings judges for a career consultation, and the challenge of defending the title and trophy in next month's show.
Set Two: The "30 Second Audience Slam." It's a lively set of audience/actors who sign-up to perform on the night of the show. Each actor's performance doubles as entertainment and an 'audition' to perform in the championship set in the next show.

Director/writer James Gunn will be present at the screening.
The movie also stars Linda Cardellini, Jason Segel, Judy Greer, Lloyd Kaufman, Jennifer Eolin, Sarah Sido, Michelle Martin, Kathy Rohl, and Michelle Martin. It was produced by Benny Que himself, Mr. Stephen Blackehart, shot and edited by Pete Alton, and has music by Pete and Willie Wisely.

We will be SCREENING SLiTHER in a theater near the convention, as part of the convention. Yes, this will be the first ever real screening of the SLiTHER movie, and you'll even get to meet the whole cast. Also, I heard a rumor that Debbie Rochon will be premiering the Making of SLiTHER Documentary. So get your tickets now!

Come meet the SLiTHER gang - myself, Nathan Fillion, Gregg Henry, and, maybe, Elizabeth Banks - at the L.A. Comic Book and Science Fiction Convention, this Sunday, December 4. We'll be there from 11 a.m. to Noon.
Here's where it's at:
Shrine Auditorium
Expo Center
700 West 32nd Street
Los Angeles, CA
Hope to see you there!
SLiTHER isn't coming out till January 6, 2006, but, before then, you can get a sneak peek at the film's inside workings with a panel at the San Diego Comicon, featuring myself, Elizabeth Banks, Nathan Fillion, Michael Rooker, and Gregg Henry. All of the actors took time off, even cancelling their other gigs to be there (thank you, Gregg Henry). Think they're a little excited about the film?
The panel will take place at 2:15 pm Saturday, July 16. We'll talk about our experiences, maybe give folks some visuals from the film, and afterwards meet up with the people, do signings, etc.
I personally should be around the Comicon from Friday through Sunday, so keep an eye out for me, come up and introduce yourself.
6:30 p.m.

Opening Short: MAN WHO INVENTED THE MOON
Tickets available NOW at the Tivoli
LOLLILOVE is directed by my wife, Jenna Fischer (star of the upcoming OFFICE American TV show), and stars myself, Jenna, Judy Greer, Linda Cardellini, Jason Segel, and Lloyd Kaufman. The film is the story of a wealthy couple, James and Jenna Gunn, who set out to end homelessness by giving each homeless person a lollipop with a cheery slogan on the wrapper. This satiric mix of fact and fiction documents (or 'mockuments') James and Jenna's downward spiral as they try to save the world and prove how very, very, very, very charitable they are.
I'll be at the festival, along with Jenna, the co-writer/editor/cinematographer Pete Alton, and producer Stephen Blackehart.
Important historic note - LolliLove is playing at the Tivoli, where I first saw the original DAWN OF THE DEAD when I was a kid, on a double bill with THE HILLS HAVE EYES.
THE MAN WHO INVENTED THE MOON, the great short starring my brother Sean Gunn, directed by John Cabrera (the creator of this very site), and written by the great Lee Kirk will be showing before LolliLove. Sean, John, and Lee will also be in attendance.
Come and hang out with us, and meet the crew!

HOW TO MAKE A FILM, INSTANTLY
On Friday night, August 20th, seven writers will draw election-themed topics out of a hat. The next morning the writers will each deliver a script for a short film. Seven directors will each arbitrarily pick one of the scripts and then randomly pick a cast from the (incredibly talented and good looking) pool of actors. The newly assembled team then goes out and makes a movie as fast as they can, delivering a finished product by 7PM Sunday night. That is when you, our intelligent and discerning audience, arrives and watches these newly formed pearls in wonder and amazement! Awards and celebration follows the screening.
