My Secret Project with Elizabeth Banks Revealed

Okay, a month or so back I tweeted that I was working on a secret project with Elizabeth Banks, and she posted this pic from our set:

I never really said exactly what we were doing together, and I’ve gotten a lot of questions about it since.

Anyway, I’m working on what can only be called The Farrelly Brothers Untitled Comedy. There’s another name for it, but I’m sworn to secrecy. The film is a collection of completely over-the-top shorts in the style of Kentucky Fried Movie (or, a film I prefer, if only for the classic Griffin Dunne hand-puppet sequence) Amazon Women on the Moon. Each short is directed by a different director – Peter Farrelly, Bob Odenkirk, Brett Ratner, and more.

I’m directing one of the shorts, starring Elizabeth Banks and Josh Duhamel. I can’t really say anything else, except that the short also heavily involves 2D animation. Doing the Farrelly Brothers project has been a lot of fun – for years now, I’ve been told I’m going “too far”, by movie studios, television networks, Spike.com, XBox, etc, etc, etc. Finally I’ve met my match in producers Peter Farrelly and Charlie Wessler who kept telling me to go further, make it grosser, more violent, and overall more fucked up.

Super nice guy Josh Duhamel, who was also willing to do some of the most messed up things I’ve ever put on film.

More will be revealed soon about the project – we’re currently in post production.

I loved Kentucky Fried Movie. My two favorite parts were “A fist full of Yen” and the “Danger Seeker” segment. I’m sure your segment will be great and in the same vain as the original. Only “grosser, more violent, and overall more fucked up” to quote you. Sounds good….hahaha

Fuck yes! I’ve been reading about this project for the past few months and was stoked about it, having no idea that you were involved. Now, knowing this movie features the creative forces of folks like you and Bob Odenkirk all wrapped in one I may just jizz my pants at the very thought of it when it’s a week away from opening.

I must say that it’s pretty fucking cool that you got to work with Josh Duhamel. I really dig him. I’m almost ashamed to say it but I REALLY like “Win a Date With Tad Hamilton”.

I’m gonna guess, a cartoon version of Rooker shows up and starts raping the shit out of everyone, then he proceeds to break the fourth wall and rape the production crew and then final his animator.
