I’m certain that this is a let down to all of you who are not Regs.  But, fret not!  We will be having many more giveaways in the near future.  And all you need to do is be registered to win.

Regs, if you read this, contact our Webmistress.  We will also try to contact you.

For the rest of you, please go check out the movie ADVENTURELAND, in theaters now!  I have no connection to the film whatsoever, but it’s an incredibly moving and well-done coming of age love story, and should be making a lot more money than it is.  So while those WOLVERINE lines are backed up today, maybe check out an easier-to-get-into, better movie today.

Best
James

Don’t know how I missed this blog! Just discovered it today. Anyway, congrats, Regs!

That “Making today” was supposed to be “maybe today”. I don’t know what the fuck I was thinking about there.

Adventureland was shot in Pittsburgh’s own Kennywood. I used to go there a lot when I was a kid when I’d visit my dad in the summer. As for the flick itself, it was okay. Nothing really special. Nothing really horrible. Just another flick. I did question if they would ever play Judas Priests’ “Breaking the Law” in a family amusement park like that. Usually, they were all about Whitney Huston and shit. Making today, it’s normal like Norman, but Judas Priest in public back then? Is my suspension of disbelief required there?

And wanna hear something strange? Toby Wilkins directed a rabid zombie porcupine horror flick called Splinter. He also worked on Scooby-Doo 2′s main title sequence. Not only all that, but my friend Scott Amundson also worked on Splinter. Small fuckin’ world and shit.

And on a totally different note, congrats to Regs.

    Damn you, Regs!

People should go see Adventureland and then go see it again instead of Wolverine.

  • Maddy_Bauer

    Congrats Regs! Enjoy :-).

    Congrats, Regs!!!

  • stateofwhat

Dude, how is it still using my facebook picture? That’s weird.

  • stateofwhat

BOO! Oh well. Congrats to that guy, whoever he is.

  • Tracy!

Why did I write employees like you run a sweatshop James? I meant members. Dammit.

  • Tracy!

I’m glad I didn’t get my hopes up for this one considering there are 2000+ employees but I’m still just as pissed. But of course there is always more contests in the future.

I dug ADVENTURE LAND but my main problem was the fact that it was promoted as a comedy in the trailers and it wasn’t as funny as I expected plus throughout the trailer it showed the actors Kristen Wiig & Bill Hader (and they were the main reasons I wanted to see the movie) yet the only scenes they were in can be seen in the trailer. Other than that I thought it was a great story with fantastic acting.
